Cowboy Action Shooting begins April 15, 2012

Reminder to all club members - Cowboy Action Shoots will begin monthly starting in April and continuing thru October. Cowboy Action Shoots are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at the club range. The outdoor range will be closed on the 3rd Sunday of the month for Cowboy Action Shoots from April thru October. Generally, the outdoor range closes on Saturday late in the day prior to the shoot for set-up, and will remain closed for most of the day on Sunday. A sign will be placed on the front gate indicating the range is closed for the shoot. The indoor range will be open (normal range hours) during this event if a range officer is available.

Please remember that the outdoor range will be closed on the 3^rd Sunday of the month

except for those participating in the cowboy shoot.

NE. Hunter Education Instructors Award

Club members Sharon and Denis Dahl received the 2012 Estella Wolfe award for excellence in the Nebr. Hunter Education program.

This award is for dedication and excellence in the Nebr. Hunter Conservation Education program. Both Sharon and Denis have taught Hunter Education at the Grand Island Rifle Club for 27 years.

The award was received at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Conservation Education conference held at Kearney, NE. in March 2012.
